Software Engineer — Underwriting Platform

There's no legacy platform team here and no ticket queue between you and production — you'll work directly with underwriters and actuaries to turn pricing logic into shipped features. The platform is the product, not internal tooling bolted onto one, so the engineering decisions you make directly shape how EarthRe prices and monitors risk.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain the systems underwriters and actuaries use to price and monitor risk
• Design data pipelines that turn cedant and market data into usable underwriting inputs
• Ship features directly to production — there's no separate platform team to hand off to
• Work closely with underwriting to translate pricing logic into code

What we're looking for

• Strong backend engineering experience in any modern stack, comfortable owning a service end to end
• Genuine interest in the underlying insurance and actuarial logic, not just the code around it
• Experience with data-heavy or numerically sensitive systems is a plus
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, GIFT City, Gujarat
