Catastrophe & Climate Risk Analyst

Model climate and catastrophe exposure for parametric and traditional treaties, feeding directly into underwriting and capital decisions.

RiskIFSC, GIFT CityFull-timeAnalyst

Catastrophe data for Global South markets is thinner and less standardised than what mature-market cat models assume, so a real part of this role is judgment — knowing where a model's inputs are weak and adjusting for it, not just running it. Your view of exposure feeds straight into underwriting and capital allocation, not a risk report that sits in a drawer.

What you'll do

  • Model climate and catastrophe exposure for parametric and traditional treaties
  • Maintain and refine exposure and accumulation views across the portfolio
  • Feed risk analysis directly into underwriting and capital allocation decisions
  • Track climate risk data and models relevant to Global South markets as they emerge

What we're looking for

  • Background in catastrophe modelling, climate risk, or quantitative risk analysis
  • Familiarity with parametric insurance structures is a plus
  • Comfortable working with incomplete or non-standardised exposure data
  • Based in, or willing to relocate to, GIFT City, Gujarat
